Black, Green, Orange and Gray Blocks make up this quilt top and the flannel backing gives it an extra layer of warmth.  There were no flowers or swirls allowed in the quilting, so the pattern “Ric Rac” by Patricia Ritter filled the order perfectly.  Superior’s King Tut variegated thread gave it an extra bit of spice in the solid fabric areas.

In my LongArm Quilting Glory

There have been several quilts go on and come off “Zek”(my long arm machine) over the past few weeks since my last post.  So instead of putting off showing them to you any longer by making each one a separate post.  I have decided to put them all into this slideshow with descriptions attached to the photos.  I hope you enjoy seeing what I have been up too.

Maxine B. Pink Purses Quilt

This beautiful pink and purples purses quilt is for a sweet girl who is having a birthday in just a couple days.  It was quilted with a large meander stitch to keep it soft and cuddly as she requested.  It has a purple with white dots flannel backing making this the ultimate take anywhere snuggle quilt.

Nancy R Sweet Rosebuds Quilt

Nancy R Sweet Rosebuds Quilt

Clients quilt done with border and corner flowers and echo block quilting in the large area.  Was a fun quilt to do with lots of open space for design.  Kept the quilting to a minimum for a soft snuggly feel and used a light pink thread to not overwhelm the tiny rosebuds on the white fabric.

Dragonfly Quilt

The combination of two block styles create the chained star pattern.  I used a stencil to quilt the dragonfly in the center of each star and various lines to complete the quilting.  The entire quilt from start to finish was done on a standard sewing machine.
